![]() Rating: - Reliable combo unit from JVCI was initially looking for a TV and a VCR separately because most combo units have mono sound (one-sided), but this combo wasn't. What led me to buy this unit was: However, some of the things I don't like about this unit are: I would recommend this to people who trust the JVC brand, aren't planning to hook it up to an entertainment system, and would like a single unit to save space. Rating: - Be cautious about purchasing a TV with VSR built in.. TV's with VCR's built do not work well with cable box remotes. You may find you cannot turn the TV on with the cable remote--a common problem. This TV does not have stereo audio. That means it is a cheap TV set. I recommend you look at the Panasonic TV because they resist interference the best. Look for a TV with stereo audeo , SVHS input, and skip the VCR--you are better off with this as a separate unit. Conrad B. Senior Rating: - Nice picture, but not good for DVD.......The good: It looks good (silver cabinet), and the TV has excellent picture quality. The bad: Although the TV is stereo, the VCR is mono - and so are the audio inputs! So, even if you hook it up to stereo equipment (e.g. a DVD player), you will only get mono sound. The ugly: The inputs are on the front only, which is unattractive if you keep equipment hooked up all the time. This might be the right choice for some people, depending on your needs....
