![]() Rating: - Depending on where you live, this may not help youI recently purchased this item hoping for better reception and less tin foil for my home in the hills of Los Angeles. If you live in an area that is hard to get a signal already, this item is not going to help you much. Compared to my other antenna with out the tin foil, initially the reception was a little bit better, but not enough to get a clear picture or audio, and I could only receive about 2 of the 5 local channels. With tin foil, a lot of tin foil, I can almost get those 2 channels but with less than perfect picture quality. I thought having UHF and VHF dials and being able to control them manually would have a better impact on my picture and sound, but I find that I have to keep them both on MAX. Not an impressive difference from the other power antennas with only signal strength dials to keep me satisfied. Again, I live in an area that is almost impossible to get a signal, so this product might perform better in more urban areas. Rating: - better than a dangling copper wirethis is the first and only antenna ive ever owned. before I bought it I just stuck a copper wire into the tv input. the channels are much better now and some are cable quality with not even a single speck of fuzz. I also gained one channel that I never knew existed!!! Rating: - It worked for meI have a condo in Shelter Cove on Hilton Head Island and will be using it only 4 weeks a year. I did not want to get cable service for such sporadic use. I could get only one broadcast station well and 2 stations poorly with the tv's rabbit ears in my condo. I bought this antenna and a 25' coaxial cable and placed them on my porch. I can now get 6 Savannah stations very well and 3 Charleston stations just well enough to watch. It sure worked well for me.
