![]() Rating: - great productI was set to buy a $100 Terk-55 antenna to mount outdoors with a 100 foot cable run. This would have involved a lot of work, drilling holes in my house, and a long ugly wire across my back patio. As I was researching the Terk, I came across the reviews for this product. I was somewhat sceptical that a small indoor antenna would receive the signal from 30 miles away, but I figured I would give it a try. It works great! The picture quality for HDTV is fantastic and it took 2 minutes to install. It is very directional as others have said. If you point it a few inches offline you will lose the signal. If your signal is coming from different locations in town, you will probably have to change the direction of the antenna to get different stations. I can not recommend this product highly enough! Rating: - Silver Sensor - Believe the Hype. It ROCKS!Purchased on Amazon and I got it in 3 days. This semi-fragile looking thing actually WORKS amazingly well. I could get no reception whatsoever from a regular rabbit ear antenna, but I hooked this thing up and had BEAUTIFUL high definition local network stations literally in minutes. Watched the Lakers lose last night (sweet), and you could see Shaq's sweat so clearly it looked like he was standing next to you and about to drip on your floor. It was CRYSTAL CLEAR on a brand new Samsung HLP 50" set! BTW, my physical distance to local network channels ranges from 10-30 miles or so according to www.antennaweb.org. One thing to keep in mind - you may have to have the flexibility to turn the antenna to point toward stations that are in different directions, so keep that in mind. Also, set it up high if possible (I am on the second floor). I ordered the Gemini ZHDTV1 HDTV-UHF Digital Indoor Antenna, but I actually received the Zenith Silver Sensor. Same thing, and this is the BEST $25 I have spent in a long, long time. This is my first post at Amazon, but I can HIGHLY recommend this product to those interested in FREE High Definition TV. Rating: - Gemini lives up to its reputationThis product - also known as the Silver Sensor under different brands - is definitely worthy of the hype. I decided to go HDTV this summer, but an outdoor antenna just wasn't a good option. Given my experience with other expensive "rabbit ears" I was doubtful. But this antenna brings in all of my local digital HDTV channels and I can even hide it in a closet. It's not perfect under all weather conditions, but digital tv is still in it's infancy right now and reception should steadily improve. If you want to go digital and stay off the roof, try this one first. Reviews on Amazon are one of my most trusted sales reference sources, and this time the Amazon customers are dead-on.
