I researched multiple models of LCD TV's for months before deciding to buy this one. All of the reviews I read on the Syntax Olevia line complained about the odd remote (which I will admit takes some getting used to), and stated that the picture quality was poor from analog sources, such as non-digital cable. We LOVE this TV. It has a great picture, even from analog sources, and is very sharp with DVD's and digital sources. This is a great deal for the money, and compared to some other more familiar name brands (JVC, Panasonic, RCA) with lower 500:1 contrast ratios, it has a far superior picture. One of my family members spent twice as much on a Sharp Aquos 26 inch -- this TV was half the price and the picture and features are just as sharp as the Aquos. I'm not usually a person willing to spend big bucks on home electronics, but this TV was worth every penny!

This LCD TV is one of the best on the market for as low of a price as it has. The HD ready tuner makes HD Cable hook-up as easy as can be. All the hook ups make it a well rounded TV. A Must buy for a picture enthusiast.

Rating: - A Pleased Guest
I have had this model for 1 1/2 months, and have 5 more days to return it if I am not satisfied. I have used every device I can think of w/this LCD TV to put it thru every trial I can think of before making my decision to keep it. The only problem I have had was day 1 the picture was unclear and I freaked! Then I called Syntax's wonderful customer service tech support in the USA! I have called 3 times and spoke with the same tech (rare and almost immpossible to find these days b/c most companies won't hire USA tech's anymore, they hire cheap labor from other countries) I was told that I may have a weak signal via cable in my area. The tech was going to have a tech come ASAP to check it out and scheduled a service call in my home. That night was too curious and called Radio Shack to se if there was any device that could improve a weak cable signal. (Yes, there is) I bought a very inexpensive signal booster and viola a perfect picture. I called and cancelled the scheduled service call and am very delighted to have found a simple solution. Synatax could improve its instruction guide as it is a bit lean, but a quick call to Syntax (no being on hold for hours and talking to someone in a foreign country) and questions were answered promtly and clearly by a tech who spoke perfect english. You can't find a better deal than this. I did a lot of research and was leary b/c of the low price, but it is a keeper! You won't return yours either is my best bet... In conclusion, I will just add that I hope this company does well with its great new products that are in a price range that people like me can afford. I also am hoping they can continue offer such good prices w/out using cheap labor from another country like most all other companies now do.
